HDC Bin collection update following storm Eunice

Huntingdonshire’s District Council’s waste and recycling collections will resume on Monday (21 Feb). As a result of Storm Eunice, however, we will not be collecting green bins on Monday and Tuesday next week to catch up on those bins missed today (Fri 18 Feb).

For those residents whose grey bin was not collected today then it will be collected on Monday and for those residents whose blue bin was not collected today, it will be collected on Tuesday.

For residents whose green bin was due for collection today or on Monday or Tuesday, it will be collected again on their next garden waste collection date.

Queens Jubilee 2022

The parish council have purchased some wild cherry tree (prunus avium) saplings for residents to plant in their front gardens for the enjoyment of the wider Kings Ripton community, and as part of the Queens Green Canopy project.

This tree has beautiful clouds of blossom in spring (sometimes referred to as cherry blossom) and bright summer fruits which bring a splash of vivid colour.
