Competition opening and closing dates

Competition opens:  1 August 2018

Competition closes: 30 June 2019 (closing date is at the sole discretion of KRVH)

1. Conditions of entry

1.1 Any expenses incurred in the process of entering the competition will not reimbursed.

1.2 This competition is open to everyone.

1.3 The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

1.4 Entries must be submitted by midnight 30 June 2019.

1.5 Each entrant may submit as many images as they wish.

1.6 Images must be taken in or close to Kings Ripton.  Images of local towns, villages and countryside, including the Ouse, are welcome.

1.7 All entries submitted must be the original work of the individual submitting them. Entries must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use or have any watermark or signature added. If KRVH has reason to believe any entry is not entrant’s own work or otherwise breaches this rule, the entry will not be considered.

2. Images

2.1 Only still images may be submitted.

2.2     If submitted electronically, entries must be in jpeg format, full colour or black and white. Digital adjustments are not permitted, except for cropping.

2.3 If prints are submitted, a digital version must be available.

Prints can be posted to Photo Competition, Blathwayt, School Lane, Kings Ripon, PE28 2NL

3. Copyright

3.1 Copyright of all entries remains with the entrant, but by entering, entrants give KRVH permission in perpetuity to use images, including but not limited to publication in a calendar and on-line and in local press.

3.2 Photos must not be in the opinion of KRVH be obscene, defamatory, offensive or in breach of any applicable legislation or regulations.

4. Data

4.1 Entrants confirm by submitting an entry that any individual whose image is clearly identifiable in the competition entry has given consent for the use of his/ her image in connection with this competition and in accordance with these terms and conditions and publicity detailed in condition 3.1 above.

4.2 Where an individual whose image is clearly identifiable in a competition entry is less than 16 years old the entrant must confirm that the parent or guardian of that individual has given the relevant consents.

4.3 KRVH will only use entrant’s details to contact them about the photo competition and will not pass them onto third parties.  See 4.4

4.4 The winners’ names will be published online, passed on to any competition sponsors & partners and the local media.

5. Winners

5.1     KRVH and any other judges it appoints will be the sole decision makers.  Twelve winners will be selected and from those, one overall winner.  The winners will be selected in a fair and non-discriminatory manner; entries will be made anonymous for the judging process

6. Good faith

KRVH and entrants will participate in the competition in good faith at all times.

The Riptons 2020 Calendar Photographic Competition

Kings Ripton Village Hall Committee is calling on amateur photographers to submit photos of local scenes or items for the 2020 Riptons calendar.  Submitted images should be from around the Riptons area.  Images of local towns, villages and countryside, including the Ouse, are welcome.  There’s a whole year to enter, so you can reflect the changing seasons.

Lord and Lady De Ramsey have kindly agreed to help with the judging and the best photos will be published in a 2020 calendar.

Entry grants permission for Kings Ripton Village Hall Trust to use the photo in the calendar.

Separate under 12’s category.

A suggested donation of £2.00 per entry

Please include the following with your image:

• • Confirmation it’s your own work.
• • Name and contact No.
• • Age if under 12years.
