Campaign to protect Rural Engalnd has produced a web-based transport toolkit which aims to improve local travel choices, particularly in rural areas.  Although it seeks to reduce the need to travel, particularly by car, it also shows how to reduce the costs and impacts of driving.  The toolkit also sets out how to protect the countryside from the negative impacts of transport, such as by reducing noise of motor traffic and signage clutter.
