In 2012/2013 Kings Ripton Parish Council applied to Cambridgeshire County Council to be considered for the programme of Minor Highway Improvement scheme. The scheme invited bids from Town & Parish Councils & Community Groups aimed to improve the environment, encourage walking, cycling or use of public transport.

Kinds Ripton Parish Council successfully applied to reduce the speed limit through the village from 30mph to 20mph with the Council providing at least of 10% contribution towards the cost of the proposed project. Continue reading →
